"Liked · Oasis from Dakar in general. We were forced by cancelled flights to stay here another 2 nights, and were lucky enough to get a room. Great staff, always helping us. Breakfast was especially good. We like the room, really liked the bathroom. Rooftop restaraunt was great, food was good, the place had atmosphere also. Disliked · Nothing. Location was a bit meh, but no big deal"

"The staff are exceptional at L'adresse, particularly reception, the room staff and the female restaurant and bar staff are friendly, attentive. The restaurant is fine, but more options needed on the menu. My one key grievance is the reception temperature. The premises are clean and well maintained, but the reception area can be stifling hot, and stuffy with no air circulating. Not good when meeting anyone in the lobby as you you find yourself sweating, not good for waiting for someone or a car to meet you because you end up drenched in a few minutes. Some simple ground fans can be installed if aircon is not practical in this large space. Its your first point of contact to the hotel and the impression is lost with this uncomfortable entry."

"This was my second stay at La Residence. I still recommend the place but with a caveat. If you want to at quiet place during the day, think twice before you opt for La Residence. I stayed at the room 14 at the back and unfortunately there is ongoing construction right next to the building. During the day, in the week days, the noise was too much. I believe customers should be aware of this fact. Management could not move me to another room and told me i am not entitled to a refund even if i wanted to cancel and cut my stay short. Not ideal for muslims during Ramadan. Suhur not provided like most hotels in Dakar during Ramadan"

"A group of students from Chicago stayed here on their first visit to Senegal. They loved the beds, air-conditioning, kind staff, and the location. We were so busy we didn't have time to enjoy the clean pool in the courtyard area. There is also a charming gift shop with locally made artisan products."
